Airflow Before Charge
Verify indoor airflow, total external static pressure where applicable, filter and coil condition, blower operation and basic operating conditions before making a refrigerant-charge diagnosis or adjustment.
Complete the noninvasive airflow and basic operating-condition checks before attaching gauges. If gauges are required, purge the gauge lines and follow the equipment procedure.
Safety and manufacturer boundaries
Manufacturer service data governs targets, limits, procedures and approved tools for the exact equipment. Workbench calculations are examples, not universal targets.
Follow current law, code, employer policy and refrigerant-specific safety instructions. Stop work when the equipment identity or safe procedure is unclear.
